Directions:

From Jhb take the N3 to Harrismith.

Route 1 - Harrismith via Sterkfontein Dam
This route is a little longer but more scenic. Take Bloemfontein turn off for 3 km then left to QwaQwa - after 11 km turn left onto the R74 to Bergville past the Sterkfontein Dam [60 km] - through Bergville to Winterton [20 km]. In Winterton turn right on the R600 to the Central Berg, travel 26 km to arrive at Berghaven.

Route 2
Continue passed Harrismith on the N3 and exit at Bergville Toll Plaza and turn left towards Ladysmith. Turn right [+/- 5 km] onto the Winterton-R600 which will cross back over the freeway past Spioenkop Dam to Winterton. Enter Winterton and turn right over railway crossing, back onto the Central Drakensberg-R600. Travel 26 km to the Central Berg and you will arrive at Berghaven.

From Durban take the N3 to Estcourt.

Route 1
Take the third Estcourt off ramp called Estcourt North and turn left to Loskop until you meet the R600 at the Thokozisa intersection. Turn left onto R600 and continue until you reach Berghaven. (NOT recommended at night because of stray animals on the Loskop road)

Route 2
On N3 - pass Ultra City and take the next offramp at Frere and turn left on the R74 to Bergville/Winterton. In Winterton turn left over the railway crossing onto the R600 to the Central Berg. Travel 26 km to the Central Berg and you will arrive at Berghaven.
